FAQ: PayXpert Integration

What is a gateway payment?

A payment gateway is a software program integrated to a merchant's website to transmit transaction data to the credit card acquirer for authorization and settlement. Merchants gain the ability to perform real-time credit card authorizations from a web site over the Internet. Customers can pay for purchases across the Internet through credit cards within seconds, after the gateway obtains authorization from the credit card institutions.

What are the types of web / integration interfaces offered by payxpert? Does my customer get to see pages which have the look and feel of my website?

With payXpert you will be able to use your own online payment page as you will be sending transactions directly to our gateway. This will allow your customers to see a trusted payment page on which they will enter their credit card data in the look and feel of your own website, instead of being redirected to another different webpage.

What level of encryption does payXpert use?

payXpert uses the most powerful Verisign secure socket layer (SSL) for encrypting customer data during transmission.

What is the payXpert Virtual Terminal?

The Virtual Terminal enables businesses to authorize and process credit card transactions from any computer with an Internet connection and a Web browser.
To authorize credit card transactions, the merchant simply completes an electronic form that provides the Virtual Terminal system with the information it needs to complete the transaction. This information is encrypted using the latest 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and sent to the payXpert server. The server then sends the data through the authorization network over a secure, proprietary connection. When the process is completed the merchant receives the transaction authorization status.

The Virtual Terminal makes credit card authorization and transaction processing fast and easy.

Which credit cards does payXpert accept?

payXpert can handle customer purchases made through Visa ,MasterCard, JCB, Diner's Club and American Express cards. The variety of credit cards also depend on the specific contract you might have with the Acquirer.

How can I change my payXpert Client ID?

Our database does not support the changing of Client IDs.

How can I change the E-mail address that is used for communications?

Please contact your account manager if you wish to have this changed.

Can I test my online shop, to ensure that it is working properly?

Yes within our technical integration manual you will find a overview of test cards with which you are able to test if the system is working properly.

Am I allowed to set up multiple payXpert Client IDs?

If you operate several different Web sites, you will have to create separate merchant accounts for each website. One merchant account for one Website.

How long does it take for an order to be processed, and what is the sequence of events that occurs after an order is placed?

After a customer places an order, payxpert's system immediately processes the order in real time.

Do customers automatically receive a message confirming their an order?

payxpert's system sends one E-mail message to the customer after an order has been placed.

Does payXpert offer a fail-safe back-up redundancy for Visa & MasterCard processing?

payXpert allows thanks to its advanced platform to direct the processing towards different MIDs depending on the bincode of the card, the ip of the user, the amount of the transaction, the total amount for a period on the said card.
